The executive vice president of Fox News predicted that if Ashley Todd’s claims of mutilation at the hands of a black man turned out to be a hoax, the McCain campaign would be toast:

Breaking on KDKA Channel 02: “A Pittsburgh police commander says a volunteer for the McCain campaign who reported being robbed and attacked near a bank ATM in Bloomfield has confessed to making up the story. Police say charges will be filed.”

At a rally in Pennsylvania today, John McCain tried to criticize Barack Obama and John Murtha for criticizing the endemic racism in certain parts of western Pennsylvania. He didn’t quite pull it off.

Politico reaffirms the obvious: John McCain is playing the race card and everybody knows it.

Sarah Palin said last week that “[Barack Obama] is someone who sees America as imperfect enough to pal around with terrorists who targeted their own country.”
