This is no huge surprise, but as you may remember, we broke a story here at the Campaign Silo about a visit Obama had to AFL-CIO HQ last week–and how in a testament to lingering resentements from the primary, he left without an expected endorsement.

So while expected, this is still big news, re progressives finally coming together after a tough primary battle.

As The Washington Post reports, yesterday Barack Obama had a meeting with a number of labor leaders in the AFL-CIO, important in that some of their major affiliates (such as AFSCME) endorsed his rival Sen. Hillary Clinton during the primary.

As the piece puts it:
