CNN's Rick Sanchez interviewed "Joe The Plumber" today. Joe was prepped for a fluff convo, but instead was asked to back up his wild-assed assertions with actual information. When the back and forth strayed into facts, reality and common sense? Let's just say: reality bites back....

We were out early this morning, dropping off call sheets at local Dem HQ from last night's final round of GOTV calls. I caught the local fire department putting up the American flags along Main Street for Election Day, and snapped a quick picture of small town doings. No line out the door at our local polling place, but plenty of cars in the parking lot and at other locations this morning as well.

Domestic violence cases are nasty and nearly impossible to untangle. And especially tough for kids who get caught in the middle. The one constant: women who have been so beaten down that they don't feel like they have anyone to turn to are the ones who most need a hand up.
