Celebs Give $upport to Same-Sex Marriage, But Where’s Ellen?

Other celeb same-sex marriage supporters attending included members of Linkin Park and "Scrubs" star Sarah Chalke.

If you live in Arizona, California or Florida, just vote NO on Election Day to the "marriage" propositions on your state’s ballot. The titles are designed to confuse voters. All three ban same-sex unions.

Like Ellen DeGeneres explained in her blog about the California proposition:

The wording of Prop. 8 is tricky. It’s like if someone asked you, ‘You don’t want dessert, right?’ But you do want dessert, so you say yes, which really means you don’t want dessert. And if you say no, which means you do want dessert — it sounds like you don’t. Either way, you don’t get what you want. See — confusing. Just like Prop. 8.

Nice. She’s finally spoken out and said "No on 8," a campaign to which Steven Spielberg and Brad Pitt have each given $100, 000.

And where was Ellen this weekend?

Well, newlyweds Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi did get political, hosting a party at their house to raise money for Yes on 2, a California ballot measure to stop the cruel and inhumane treatment of farm animals.  The event raised almost a million dollars.
