Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-AZ) pledges to vote against any health care bill that does not have a robust public plan.

We’re still working to get members to define what they mean by a "public plan," because insurance industry shills like Kent Conrad are cooking up "faux" public plans.  So we’re using the HCAN definition — 1) Available nationwide, 2) on day one and 3) accountable to Congress and the voters.  When you call the offices of members of Congress, please be patient and try to explain this to the people you’re talking with.  That in itself is a tremendous public service.
