With all eyes on Russia for the winter Olympics, Americans’ opinions about the country are at a at 20 year low. According to Gallup, 60 percent of Americans have an unfavorable view of Russia while only 34 percent view the country favorably. From Gallup:

There has been a clear downward trend since 2012 when Vladimir Putin took back the Presidency in 2012. It it interesting to see how Putin’s decision to take a more adversarial position against American policy managed to trickle down to popular opinion about the whole country.
