While the Internet has grown significantly in prominence, television remains the clear king of the news world. It is the primary source of news for more than half the country.
According to Gallup television is the main source of news for 55 percent of Americans. In second place is the Internet at 21 percent, followed by print at 9 percent and radio at 6 percent.
While young people are more likely to use the Internet for the news, even among this demographic TV still dominates.
Seniors citizens’ new habits are significantly different from the rest of the country, but there is not a big difference between young adults and the middle-aged.
