Most Americans disapprove of the NSA’s newly revealed far reaching surveillance program. According to Gallup only 37 percent approve of these surveillance programs while 53 percent disapprove according to Gallup.

Remarkably, it appears a plurality of self-identified Democrats will rally around anything President Obama does even if it is policies both candidate Obama and bulk of the Democratic Party very vocally opposed just a few years ago.

The poll also found that 57 percent are either very concerned or somewhat concerned that these programs could violate their privacy rights.

While the country is evenly divide on whether Edward Snowden did the right thing by leaking this information, 59 percent of Americans think the Guardian and Washington Post did the right thing by publishing the stories.
