According to a new CNN/ORC poll only 43 percent of the public supports the law while 54 percent say they oppose it. This is nearly identical to the level of support CNN found in 2010.
Even though Obama’s signature law is not popular, Democrats can take some solace in knowing not everyone who opposes the law agrees with the Republican position. The poll found that 35 percent of people oppose the law because it is too liberal while 16 percent are against the law because it isn’t liberal enough. This also remained basically the same since right after the law was approved.
The most surprising thing about the polling on the ACA is how consistent it has been. Opinions about the law haven’t moved since the law was approved, but that could finally change next year when the law is finally implemented.
