Cenk Uygur on the Alan Simpson experience (now officially “Tit-gate,” per Brian Beutler):
He thinks you’re milking the system, as if it’s his money. YOU paid into Social Security. It’s YOUR money. You’re not milking a damn thing.
And:
Who killed the pig? Simpson and his friends in Congess, who spent all of your money — including the Social Security surplus — on tax cuts for the rich and endless wars.
I think I need a cigarette. E-I-E-I-O.

About FDL Action
There is no doubt the wars and war profiteering will continue because neo-con war criminals Stephen Hadley and Richard Armitage promise more wars, forever. The Quadrennial Defense Review promises indefinite war in Irak, if the neo-con effort is successful. If unsuccessful the effort will be longer. As for the Afghan Empire Killer, disengagement is years and years and years away. No one elected these war criminals Hadley and Armitage to wage more war, but I am guessing Baby Killer Obama appointed them.
But these wars of choice are not an anomaly, they are a permanent feature with more wars promised by more neo-cons.
Righteous Rant.

President Obama can’t take on Simpson yet because he’s still busy tracking down the guy whose ass he’s going to kick from the BP spill, right? Or whatever other focus group tested outrage is on their plate at the moment. Maybe by Monday he’ll decide if he has time to plan to get angry with Sen Simpson. One stern statement and walk-back at a time, Jane.
It’s almost as if the thieves have blown their cover, set off an alarm, and know the jig is up. Now they’re just grabbing as much as possible before the law gets there. Oh wait, did I say law? That analogy doesn’t really work anymore.
The law and the thieves are one and the same. Why care about getting away? So now it’s just grab and grab and mock the little people.
