About FDL Action
Can’t wait for this bi-partisan nothingness. All they do is have meetings.
go to http://www.savethepublicoption.com A.S.A.P before 25, Feb. 2010.
If Obama had put forward a bill that addressed controlling costs to begin with he would not be in this mess. But what he is proposing is a $1 Trillion entitlement program ON TOP of existing entitlements that are bankrupting this country. 80 million Americans born from 1946 to 1964 who could qualify for Social Security and Medicare during the next 22 years. In 2011, they’ll turn 65 and be eligible for Medicare. In the next 20 years Medicare will go from 44 million beneficiaries to 79 million. That will leave barely more than two workers paying payroll taxes for every retiree.
I’d look forward to this liveblogging like I would a colonoscopy, Jesus Christ.
actually, a colonoscopy would hurt a whole lot less and present a clearer picture of what’s going on inside where we can’t see it. (no offense intended to the live bloggers)
7 AM left coast is real early for Makers Mark drinking games every time bipartisanship is uttered.
But WTF, I’ve been up at festivals till past 7am with Makers Mark.
This time I’ll have sleep under my belt, breakfast and a comfortable captain’s chair and my ‘puter.
Should be fun!!!
Who else has a word to tipsy to?
And Jon, thanks to you and Bill for your efforts to bring this to us.
Nevermind the naysayers.
