There’s a place in hell for the man. So many are now in his mold that it’s more like a time-share. But he gets the biggest share. How good would it be if Ted Kennedy’s ghost paid him a visit during a committee hearing while he was in the process of fibbing, or at a Republican fundraiser just as he was making his pitch?

So, is the plan to sit by quietly and, if/when Lincoln filibusters the public option or pulls off getting a triggered public option, back Halter in a primary against her?

I’m very much on board to back Halter in a primary against Lincoln if she screws over the Democratic Caucus, Democrats across the country, and Arkansans.

But why not sound the alarms now?

Why not show that we can and will back a primary challenger if she filibusters a public option, rather than sit by quietly and wait to see what she does?

Ok, I’ve said my piece on this.

We have absolutely no leverage on Short Ride and short of more ads and such against Lincoln we have little leverage on her.

I concede that I’m the novice here, but I don’t understand why we thought we could do something weeks ago when Jane dared Lincoln to filibuster a public option and launched FDL Action PAC’s Fund Organizers in Arkansas: Dare Blanche Lincoln to Filibuster the Public Option, but now we think there’s not much we can do about her explicit threat to filibuster a public option.

Why not put up a post with the ActBlue goal thermometer and raise more money to fund organizers in Arkansas? Why not spend the next couple of weeks showing Blanche that we can help run a primary challenger against her? Why not push back?
