There is no such thing as a truly “neutral” “non-partisan” fact-checking site.
This could be just out of ignorance — I admit I skimmed Jon’s piece and missed the part about his having contacted them only to be rebuffed.

They obviously do not really care about doing a complete analysis in order to reach a correct conclusion. So, yeah,

whose ox is being gored.

“False” and “unlikely but possible” are two entirely different things; something PolitiFact might be expected to know. Whenever this happens, I wonder whose ox is being gored.

They say this because they don’t understand the issue and because of that, they don’t understand the practical meaning of “access.”
They evidennntly don’t have enough understanding of the insurance market, either, to see the ultimate effect, as you’ve explained it.

And they don’t seem to understand how many women who need an abortion are unable to pay for it themselves. That’s an issue of “access,” too.
