A church should only have authority over those who choose to be members. It has no business telling people who have nothing to do with it how to live their lives. We don't ban the consumption of pork because there are Muslims and Jews in this country. I'm no biblical scholar, but when did Jesus say that his followers had to outlaw all perceived sins?
