The idea of Reid and Lieberman coming to some sort of agreement is frightening to me. Both are accepting large donations from the health insurance industry at the same time they are involved with related legislation.

It's the same as if a corporate purchasing agent could accept large donations from office supply vendors while at the same time choosing the company's preferred vendor for office supplies.

The continuing conflict of interest and legal bribery is mind boggling.

Our blog has an Open Letter to the President asking for more leadership on the public option and healthcare reform, since just relying on Congress (and especially the Senate) seems dangerous - especially if it's now up to Reid and Lieberman to find a lowest common denominator.

There's nothing left for Lieberman to protest. It looks like leadership has caved & that's all he wanted.
