The House Bill is expected to be unveiled tomorrow. It will likely not have the robust public option, which is a double slap in the face.
By saying he would put the public option opt-out in the Senate bill, Reid has crossed the Rubicon.
Jane dares Blanche Lincoln to stand in the way of health care. Lincoln strongly supports a public option for crops, but not for people.
Lieberman is standing up and demanding the public option be completely taken off the table. Dodd thinks any reprimanding of Lieberman for trying to kill a top priority of the president and his party is “ridiculous.”

I don’t understand, the house bill will be unveiled tomorrow. Other than HB 3200, what bill could it be?
I’ll be really surprised if, after all the sturm und drang, we end up with anything more that another big-ol corporate giveaway. Maybe helping a small segment, just so they can sign off on it with a flourish.
I’d really love to be surprised.
i was guessing (don’t know) it was some combination of the ecc version and the original tri-committee version???

Jep. The show’s not over, but I think that sums up the likely outcome.
More kabuki, as the smart folks like to say.
The one thing the government and the insurance industry counts on is strict obedience from the citizens and customers of the U.S. It would never occur to the gov that people might decide to take matters in their own hands and boycott insurance. If we did that, we might find it difficult for awhile, but worth it in the long run. Wish I could start a movement of some kind to persuade all healthy people everywhere to set a date and drop their insurance.
