The devil is in the details with the public option opt-out–and we still have very few details. There are many unanswered questions, and the answers will determine if the opt-out is a failure.
Obama has been pushing the trigger for months, and Occam’s razor dictates that Obama just did not really support a public option.
The trigger that Senator Snowe wanted would end wasting $100 billion for the sole purpose of giving health insurance companies another chance.
