It’s possible. But if that happens the Republicans can’t pin the bad bill on the Democrats. Progressives can run on their opposition to the bill and the progressive wing of the Party can use the bill bill against blue dogs and Conservadems. Also, progressives can then join with the Medicare for All movement to try to get HR 676 passed next year, before the bad bill takes effect.

Great then tell me about a secret negotiation with big progressive to push trough a robust public option… or a committee the WH is supporting in marking up the same? Or tell me Rahm didn’t cut off funding with a forked tongue for such supporters at the knees.

yeah, Norske’s ALL CAPS advocacy on behalf of Goldman Sach’s chosen candidate has a kind of strange irony, hard to characterize gently, so I won’t go there. He’s a made man, those pressure points are illusory, and he’s doing just fine as far as the elite class is concerned - he has neutralized the Left in a time of crisis/opportunity in a way that (R) managers couldn;t do.

Laughable. O has ALWAYS been one of “them.” He never would have got to the 2nd primary if he were’nt. What do you think all these back room deals w/ big Pharma and the insurance cartel were all about? How about all the Lobbyist parties in Denver? FISA. I don’t care what color he is. You dance to the tune the piper plays or you don’t get to dance. Maybe he can be pushed – if it’s comfy for him. But I doubt it. The “bosses” will throw him to the wolves if he tries to buck them, period. He ain’t got the guts.

We progs are abused children and tend to flinch at the slightest noise. So the WH denies it? THAT is your evidence that it’s not true? At every step in the road here the pessimists have been right. If not for a pretty strenuous effort the PO would already be mouldering in the grave. For God’s sakes look at the evidence.
