Last week at the AFL-CIO convention, it was reported that AFSCME President Gerald McEntee led the crowd in a derogatory chant about Max Baucus’s Senate Finance Committee bill.  But the video was nowhere to be found.

We found it:

The Senate Finance Committee is getting ready to debate a health care bill.  That bill does not meet  the test of this resolution.

As a matter of fact, it doesn’t even come close. And it does not meet President Obma’s standards either.  There is no employer mandate, no public option, no help for retirees.  The finance committee bill imposes substantial costs on the states, weakens state insurance regulation and taxes our health plan.

(audience starts to boo)

That’s right here…boo, boo come on.  It’s all bullshit.

Come on, what’s the word?

It’s bullshit!

The speed with which all the videos were yanked from YouTube etc. indicates that there was unhappiness with Mr. McEntee’s speech in some sectors.  But the AFSCME page inviting you to tell the Senate Finance Committee how you feel about the bill is still up.

Fuckin’ AFSCME.
