Yeah!!! We booed, hope teh Pres HEARD it. In fact, cause you can’t ALWAYS believe the MSM, there were quite a number of us older people there, too (at least 30%). Where we were sitting, only a few New Yorkers (the kids at UMDCP are mostly from NY-NJ) around us. Most all locals, and not students.

I don’t know that Obama “doesn’t get it”. Maybe he’s telling us to force him on the public option. That’s how Frankie Roosevelt worked (& our old good Gov. Glendening). They both would tell us progressive to our faces to “force them to do the progressive thing”.

Organize. Use teh internets (but don’t think typing is organizing, teh internets is jest teh newist kinda’ phone tree). Get out, talk to people you don’t agree with, make sure yr. Congresspeoples aides know you by yr 1st name. We all know how to do this…

President Obama seems to be clueless on this. I was watching the speech and he seemed perplexed when there was wild cheering for the public option. I don’t think he gets it.
