Congresswoman Maxine Waters makes clear she wishes the President had gone further last night in endorsing Public Option. She re-iterates that Obama wants to hear other, better ideas if anyone has any — but she does not think there are better ideas than Public Option.

And she sketches out the House environment with regard to bipartisanship — using Congressman Joe Wilson (R-SC2) and those in his caucus who won’t say he did wrong as her examples.

"You know how difficult it is for us to try to communicate with them and work out things with them. They are not prepared to be co-operative. As a matter of fact, they don’t want a health care reform bill – period. And they will come up with everything they can think of to stop or kill this bill."
