Apologies to all for no whip count update for a while.
Today’s updates came from the letter signed by 60 members of the House, which I’m counting in the "only with robust" category, in the hope that we’ll be able to get them to commit as individuals to vote against co-ops and triggers. We’ll be having people call and congratulate them tomorrow and asking for clarification.
I’m putting Anthony Weiner in that category, too.
Don’t know about you, but I’m feeling pretty good about this round.

About FDL Action
Thanks Jane, this is exactly what I was looking for in the previous thread. My rep’s not on it, but at least you called him out on TV earlier… So I’ll see what he’s got to say for himself tomorrow : )
I am not seeing my old rep Melissa Bean anywhere on chart she is to the right of Rahm anyone would have to be to win in Rummy’s old District, but she is still a Democrat.

Why didn’t you add Barbara Lee? She did sign that letter today. Is that not strong enough to count as the pledge?
Olbermann is all over this tonight.
Howard Feinman is a bit of an ass, but did re-inforce Jane’s point that we need to keep the pressure on the Progressives to stand strong. The President is going to need them, but the admin is trying to do the minimum to get their support.
Anyway, KO is all over the president…so don’t be sayin’ hows he’s such a Obamabot.

Good for Keith, and if the weasels (in both parties) try to run this Kabuki bullshit on the American people, then we should smother the “co-op” plan in it’s legislative cradle and deprive Obama (and they) of the chance to prance around in a figleaf, bragging about their “healthcare reform”.
Get ‘em, Jane! :o)
I don’t see my rep, Richie Neal, from the Mass 2nd district on that list anywhere??
Neal is up for re-election next year, and he is being challenged for the first time in years by Republican Dr. Jay Fleitman, who is Chair of Northampton’s Health Board, Chair of Republican city ward, immediate past President of the local hospital’s medical staff, and member of the hospital’s board of trustees. Fleitman said in a press release, “Health care isn’t a privilege or a right. Health care is a necessity.” Monster.
I live on Northampton, and it scares me that Fleitman is Chair of my city’s Health Board. It also bothers me that Neal is not on that list. A couple towns over, in Amherst, John Olver made the list under “Robust”
Time to Whip Neal I believe. Any suggestions to help me Whip Neal Good are welcomed. Any ideas on how to keep Neal in office, but make him more Progressive are also welcomed.
What about Xavier Becerra (CA-31), #5 in the Democratic Leadership?
He’s not on the list although he is atleast as liberal as Pelosi…
