I saw a headline in Google News that led to a really nice letter to the editor of Knoxville News Sentinel. It is from a doctor who supports a public plan and who explains why he finds Medicare plus supplement coverage the best to deal with and the best for his patients. The message is clear and simple and possibly could be useful to someone, hence, I’m posting a link here:

Is there a way to reduce the width of the widget to maybe 200 or so? The current 300 width messes up the format of my blog, and if I reduce it to 200, it cuts off the text. Is it possible to offer the widget in a variety of sizes?

Hi. I have a question. How do I enter an event that I know about that is not on your list and that I am in no way organizing? Congressman Andre Carson is attending a general town hall meeting for our local neighborhood association on August 24, 2009 at 7 p.m. I happen to know that a local teabagger group has listed this event on their website as a meetup. I do not see any information about it when I use the event tracker.

Jane, you are aces in my list.

emptywheel campaign gets $300 per month.

Keep reminding me of the need for money to coordinate with. $300 from B of A should be mailed on 8/13 for ATTN: PUBLIC PLAN FUND.

I am on disability and have full coverage. Yes these “thank you” payments cut into my life style, but these issues are too important to not support.

Please, remember that FDR got Social Security and Unemployment through in two of the worst years of the 1930s depression. Have no compunction about going for single payer.

Also, keep in mind that the ratholes that the conservatives love pouring the national debt down, known as the Iraq and Afghan wars, are a total waste of money.
