The mainstream media is OWNED by corporations, it’s not liberal. They speak for the wealthy, corporations, the military, and government ONLY WHEN GOVERNMENT SPEAKS FOR THEM! If government tries to do something progressive, the “liberal media” attacks them, like with health care.

First, the “liberal media” covered the Town Hall protesters WITHOUT disclosing that there was astroturfing going on. Second, when it was exposed, they started interviewing protesters who said “I’m not being paid”.

OF COURSE you can find a protester who isn’t being paid! And the “liberal media” is going to great lengths to interview them and plaster it on the “news”, but they don’t interview the astroturfers. They interview the DUPES OF THE ASTROTURFERS!

And they NEVER cover anti-War protests that are going on RIGHT NOW and for the last 8 years!

Love the reporting by Channel 10 on that Castor event:

‘Andrew Reder, a recent college graduate against Obama’s ideas for health care reform, was among those yelling during the meeting.

But Reder, who eventually made his way inside, admits very little was accomplished in discussing the actual issue.

“Somewhere in all the screaming, no one got heard.”‘

It doesn’t seem to have occured to the ‘reporter’ to wonder whether that might have been the clearly-expressed objective.

Until Progressives develop a well-organized, well-financed (or decently-financed) PR/Communications/Framing infrastructure, the media victories for conservatives will continue. That has to be a top priority–and it currently isn’t.
