I’m in PA..In the 13th Congressional District..I seem to remember you live somewhere near West Chester??

My daughter goes to Swarthmore College. Sestak represents Swarthmore. I know he’s not a Progressive but I thought I would post this..

Join us this Saturday, August 1st at Interboro High School when we demonstrate that we want more than just promises and compromises: we want universal healthcare NOW!

good question, personally i’m preparing to be pissed-off and disappointed. this is the biggest frustration for OFA, across many issues we work, work, work and the President pushes, pushes, pushes – then the damned Congress, Dems in control on both sides, gives too much away right out of the chute with conservative conferee choices. grr.

OFA looks to be organized but difficult to determine the participation levels - we’ll know more in a week

am a little more hopeful than I was a week ago about the Senate (see Rockefeller, Jay) but the big question for me is Conference - who will be the Conferees ??

OFA is and has been working v. hard but don’t underestimate what we are up against. Even attracting a lot of attention at the grassroots level can’t insulate from the impact of a well-funded professional campaign against health care. It’s enormously difficult to overcome the entrenched interests, and people should remember that when they get fed up. It won’t be a quick victory.

These fools keep showing up at AARP town halls and spewing the same line of crap about killing off the elderly.

I was at the dentist yesterday and I’ll be damned if the office staff wasn’t buying into this crap too. These are smart ladies,it’s breaking my heart. I sent them to the Health Care Reform Myths website,but I honestly don’t think it’s going to help much. I’m guessing alot of people who work doing the office work in various doctor and dentist offices oppose some of this out of a fear that a better system will eliminate their jobs.

I get e-mails from “Teaparty Patriots”. The expected anti-reform bullshit. But every one- I mean every one - comes with a “To Do List.” Usually 10 items. Who to call, etc. The last one was asking for money, too. They’re active.
