189,046 Wyomingites voted for Mike Enzi in November 2008, I learned from Dday. This is the guy who thinks the Finance Committee "compromise" he actually hasn’t agreed to should go directly to President Obama for his signature with no modification by the rest of our nationally elected legislature. He will only support the Baucus "compromise" if no changes are made to it.
Incidentally, Nancy Pelosi got 204,996 votes (pdf) in the same November election. One congressperson, in only one of 435 districts, got more votes the same day than Mike Enzi did in his entire state. So why should Senate Democrats give Enzi the power to dictate health care reform for the entire country? Answer: they shouldn’t.

TEDDY!
Thanks for the post, mon.
The mind fairly boggles, don’t it. You’d think I’d have selfish m-f-ing idiocy fatigue by now, but I guess it “helps” to not be irony impaired.

I understand the difference between the House and the Senate, and that the Senate is less representative because it gives equal representation to arbitrary geographic entities carved up long ago. If California was divided up rationally, for instance, we’d have 10 Senators representing the 38 million of us instead of just 2 Senators.
But Enzi shouldn’t be given this power over the process. Max Baucus really messed up.
Incidentally, Max Baucus got 348,289 votes last November. Two years earlier, my Senator, Dianne Feinstein, received over five million votes.
Im telling you..though you know: Baucus thinks his white male votes count way more than those for Nancy or Dianne. He’ll have to get over it, but probably not in this lifetime.
Enzi is a far right Senator from a right wing/far right wing/libertarian state. Of course he’s going to derail health care reform!
This is the guy who is going to bring us health care reform? Why was Enzi given so much power? Why were 3 GOP Senators (Enzi, Grassley, and Snowe) working on a bill when the Dems have 60 votes? Why destroy the entire bill just for 3 GOP Senators, two of which never had any intention of voting for it?
WTF were the Dems thinking? Are they really this stupid? Yes, Virginia, the Dems are that stupid.
