Mike Stark caught up with Rep. Dan Lipinski (IL-03) to ask him about his support of the public option. Representative Lipinski actually started running from Mike rather than answer some simple question about where he stands on health care.
Mike did manage to get Rep. Lipinski to say he supported a public option, but he went on to say: "I’m not backing myself into a corner" on the public option.

Well, you Chgo voters, look what you got for your vote and support of Lil’ Lip…a man afraid of his own shadwow. In his last Democratic primary, Lil’ Lip (supported by the Daley machine) handily won against a true-blue Progressive, Mark Pera. The voters in that district, spanning a sliver of Bridgeport all the way through to Proviso Township, decided to vote against their best interests. Lil’ Lip is a DINO…DINO on the loose. Tell Lipinski what you think of him running away from the public option that would help his constituents.

The guy doesn’t even live in the District — and he doesn’t live in DC! He lives in Tennessee!
But, that district is changing, and the old fogies who look at the name “Lipinski” and vote for him like they’re voting for his old man (and that’s what Lipinski is, a snot who lives off the fat of his father’s name) are being replaced. Pera ran for the first time and needs to run again; chances are he’ll do better, especially if Dino Lipinski votes Republican, which is what he’d really like to be.
