Betty Sutton (OH-13) tells Mike Stark there is "no doubt" she is "all for a public option." Though she’s not quite ready to take the FDL pledge. She suggests that perhaps she may have signed on to the Progressive Caucus pledge, but she doesn’t want to confirm other than to say she’s "signed other pledges before."

Rep. Sutton tells Mike:

I have made it clear to leadership that I support a public option and any bill that is real needs to have one.

Representative Sutton knows all too well the cost that her constituents, and millions of Americans, are paying because of delayed health care reform. Watch the video below to see Rep. Sutton talk about one of her constituents, Linda, who lost her fight with breast cancer while waiting for the insurance company to approve her physician’s recommendations:

If Rep. Sutton wants to send a message to leadership on Linda’s behalf about how serious the health care crisis is, she should do so by taking a pledge to vote against any bill that does not include a public option, available everywhere, day one and accountable to the voters and Congress.
