Just from the demographics I would say concentrate on Ohio and Utah. Ohio is in a world of hurt economically, and despite the fact that Utah is beet red, they have huge families with high medical costs and their per-capita income supporting these large families is not large. Utah is also not a political activism state, since the church discourages anything but sheep-like GOP support, so letters to the editor in Utah might rattle things loose a bit.
