Talked with his health L. A. He’s been making good votes so far in committee on the various amendments. But I can’t get a pledge out of his office. He wants what we want but is he ready to go to the mat for it? “It depends” on what comes out of conference.</p> <p>He’s likely to run against Snarlin’ Arlen in a primary. I should think he’d be with us all the way. He says he’s been hearing about health care everywhere he goes in the state. I was told he wanted to vote for something that would be good for patients but would also be good for some of our largest employers, the hospitals. Doesn’t want them to go under.
