Great, Red. Please ask staff when Mr. Ross will start answering questions from real journalists.

oh, and one more thing -

Nate Silver hints at Ross’s fate - contained in a post about Blew Dogs and their uninsured constituents (Ross’s district has 21.8% uninsured, the congressional median is 14.6%)

” A lot of the time, these guys are stuck in a tough spot between their party and their constituents. Here, those interests are mostly aligned. If a lot of the people on the top half of this list are voting against health care, first check the lobbying numbers, and then check to see if they’re still in office four years hence.”

really Mike, ya wanna bet against Nate ?

They have amendments that “trigger” a public option, and they have amendments the “trigger” the end of the public option. Seems like they’re awfully eager to have a trigger to pull.

Also - how about a campaign encouraging people to go to emergency rooms for health care until a public option is a reality in this country.

Seems irresponsible, but I’m sick of this pussyfooting around. Lets get 60’s radical style on this.

Doesn’t it work like this.. Dana Bash interviews a number of people, then goes on the Situation Room later, and just rehashes what the general mood politically is out there. She’s not really there to discuss the issue, she’s there to feel out the politics of the issue. And that’s what CNN, MSNBC, FOX, are all about, politics. I’m so bored with it, just going over the politics of an issue is not enough, not for an issue as important as this. I can’t even watch CNN/MSNBC at all, I think people shouldn’t dignify the nonsense that is on those channels with viewership. They should be boycotted. If I was Michael Moore, I would make a documentary about how the media fails us on so many levels and in turn contributes to snakes like that d-bag Mike Ross able to hold office. Amazing.

He seems to be ignoring the fact that newly insured people will be able to get care and are VERY LIKELY to be grateful to him forever. They would probably elect him to any office he wants.

I guess he isn’t all that interested in re-election.

We seem to have almost enough doctors & nurses now. Does he think the number of illnesses & accidents is suddenly going to increase if there are more insured people?

Oh, I get it. He KNOWS there are people who now don’t have insurance (and therefore care) who would begin to go see doctors. Does he really think that waiting lines for those folks are worse than not being cared for at all?

Of course, as the demand for care increases the supply of doctors & nurses would have to be increased through more open med school slots. And that would mean more jobs and better pay for a bunch of people. That’s good.

In all cases it’s better to let more people receive care, good primary physician care as well as lower cost, than to let them be uninsured and uncared for as well as only having ER care at high prices.
