I was sorely tempted to call Feinstein’s office and ask how much it costs to get in to see the Senator.

Yupper. Churchill saw what Bismarck had done in Germany — namely, creating the first true industrialized welfare state — and knew that something similar had to be done in the UK in order to stave off full-blown Socialism/Communism. The Cons that tout his name today don’t understand that at all.

Yes, I recall how he handled Welsh coal miners and the Railroad workers. Nice bit of work for the capitalist Liberal party, but it didn’t end there. He was, above all, a careerist politician.

One term is all these clowns need. The trouble with Feinstein, like the others, is she has been in her little “kingdom” too long. People, we could control this government but will not do it. Vote them out every term and they will work their butts off to do something. Change, baby, change. We let them crap on us. These people are little dictators. We have the power, but we have no gonads…..take the reins!!!

WASHINGTON — Passing health care reform is crucial to the nation’s economic well-being, Democratic Rep. Dave Obey said Wednesday as House Democrats began their push to approve legislation before August.

“It is absolutely essential to pass effective health care reform to avoid bankrupting families and the U.S. Treasury,” said Obey, chairman of the House Appropriations Committee.

I can’t think of a better person to deny you the “privilege” of seeing her. :-) I mean, it’s almost an honor, right? Kinda encapsulates everything, too. So many Democrats who aren’t what I think of as a Democrat, but then I’m weird.

(You know, for the people and all that, like it used to be in the movies and story books.)
