Tom talked with Conyers’ office:

Spoke with Dan – Mr. Conyers is not commiting to any action until a final draft is proposed. SHAME ON HIM. This is the man that sponsored HR 676.

Barbara talked with Tammy Baldwin’s office:

I spoke with an aide to Tammy Baldwin. I asked her if she would agree to take the pledge and she would only say that Tammy Baldwin supports the public option and is aware of the work FDL is doing.

John talked with DeFazio’s office:

Michael was pleasant, he had heard about the pledge. He was non-committal about when or if DeFazio might be "taking the pledge."

Cynthia talked with Donna Edwards’ office:

still wont take pledge. claiming all the while to support strong public option

Michael talked with Ed Markey’s office:

This seemed like the first time they didn’t sound totally confused by the distinction between supporting a public option and comitting against a bill without that option. That, at least is progress.
