We’ve added Rep. Phil Hare to the "committed" category. Some surprising hold outs: Donna Edwards, Tammy Baldwin, John Conyers, Rosa DeLauro, Jay Inslee, Marcy Kaptur, Carolyn Maloney, Ed Markey, Jared Polis, Bobby Rush and Peter Welch.

Alan Grayson should be in the surprising hold out category – it’s not like he needs to hold out to gain leverage for his Transparency for the Fed bill – plenty of support and co sponsors – this pledge seems right up his alley – which is of course what I’ve told his staffers a coupla times now
grayson has not been good on the issue of healthcare reform — for example, he has not signed on as a cosponsor of hr 676 (conyer’s single payer bill for comprehensive universal healthcare).

hope he gets his act together soon. will call his office again now (thanks for the reminder!)
Sure looks like we need to get on the phones! So many just leaning and no commitment from some of the folks we’ve worked mighty hard for!
Just got off the phone with Liz in Grayson’s office. She knew all about the pledge and that Grayson was “leaning yes,” when we need him to “pledge.” I read her the names of the seven who have pledged.
Gwen Moore’s a similar case in Milwaukee, if anyone wants to call her. She’s “leaning yes,” but should take the pledge.
Unlike Grayson, Gwen caved on the War Supplemental. I have been trying to sell her office on the fact that “the pledge,” is a good way to make up for that. It’s a primarily African American district so I can’t believe there’s much tolerance for Gwen’s cave-in.
oh hai! hope you caught my response in the morning swim thread
Norm Dicks office reports he is in favor of Single Payer/Public Option as told to the intern answering the phone by Staff.
i was promised a call back from grayson’s office with answer to my question re pledge.
almost 5:30 pm. no call back. :(
maybe tomorrow?
i did, thank you very much (also left you a reply)
The House of Representatives is not very voter friendly. You cannot e mail them unless you live in their district. Does anyone know a site that gives accessable e mail site? With the congress you just go to ussenators.com and have e mail access to all.
And, what a complicated site the house has. Am sure it is on purpose but
they should be accessable to everyone as they are making decisions concerning us all.
What the heck is up with Donna Edwards? I was a contibutor to her campaign and don’t even live in the same state let alone district. I can not believe she isn’t on board.
She’s in office now and is not in any danger of losing, so, that’s probably why.
