I’m saying conditions are right we can get a stronger bill now. I am saying that with unemployment numbers only getting worse we can get the GOPers. I am saying that the longer we have to educate the public on healthcare an issue that everyone cares about because they or someone they know has lost a job and health insurance the stronger our support on this issue will be.
We got them we need to start acting like we won.

Just to let you all know. I returned from Sweden after a couple of weeks.

Apparently, Sweden went private with their health care several years back. After some thirty interviews, I did find one person who liked it. The rest “hated” it, not just because of increased costs, but delays were cited by some twenty-five of the people.

Many were disgruntled about the, “do whatever the US does” attitude in their government.

the dems don’t need the gop to pass healthcare reform — imo this is an intra-dem battle.

also, is there an “obama’s deal” right now? i haven’t seen it. and the dem legislation coming from the leadership in both the house and the senate does not look anything like a “strong” public option to me (with the major caveat that i have lots more study to do on them). so far they look more like massive insurance industry bailouts.

the only “strong” public option legislation i’ve seen is stark’s hr 193. but that does not appear to be under consideration (maybe it’s hiding out with hr 676, conyer’s single payer bill?).

You could give us local commentary about Joe the Plumber’s protest by watching the news.
Count the death threats to Obama, the signs saying Texas should leave the Union, the Census should be ignored you know give us a feel as to the GOP’s issues and tell us if you think the crowd is local or trucked in, plus give us police reaction are the police treating the Tea Baggers the way Dems were treated at the GOP convention?

We need to spread the idea in the MSM if we can that if the GOP does not take Obama’s deal now then come fall with higher unemployment numbers Obama will with gaining strength in the polls on this issue to back him make a stronger Healthcare bill.
The GOP’s own paranoia will make them believe. Feed them fear and we can make them believe, make them believe and we can control them.
They are adrenaline junkies they need something to fear, something to hate. Its a weakness time to EXPLOIT it.
