I met with Teague’s health care policy staffers: bottom line, there is no bottom line. Teague will vote against a bad bill, but bad bill is not defined.

Obama was talking up the public option again today.

And in more good news, Wal-Mart (the nation’s largest private employer) has come out foursquare behind Obama’s health-care reform plan! This is pissing off the US Chamber of Commerce and other anti-reform groups because they were counting on a united lobbying front. With Wal-Mart’s thumb countering their thumbs on the scale, suddenly I suspect getting the public option is going to be a lot easier.
