It’s here. At long last, it’s here. After seven and a half months, we’re about to see the end of the 2008 Minnesota senatorial election.
The Minnesota Supreme Court has issued its ruling today in RE: Coleman v. Franken. And, also as has been rumored would happen, it comes down pretty damned solidly in Franken’s favor. And unanimously so, to boot. The scuttlebutt locally was that the main holdup was getting the decisions all synched up, but whether that’s true remains to be seen.

Yay! Now, will Pawlenty sign? Will Coleman scrape up the money to appeal to SCOTUS?
Pawlenty has been working overtime to become the national party leader, why would he sign the certificate now and risk alienating the GOP rank and file? Since he can’t face any threat of impeachment before September I’m thinking he might very well drag this out.
On the other hand, he just ripped Sanford hard for not doing his job as governor…
