There have been persistent rumors locally — rumors referenced by Dan Feidt at Politics in Minnesota — that the Supreme Court will be handing down a ruling in the Coleman appeal sometime today. My own particular source for this allegedly got the information simply by asking a person quite close to the case.
As for who will win that appeal, well, let me put it this way: I haven’t seen any efforts by Norm Coleman to renew the lease on his old office space.
Keep your fingers crossed, and watch this space. Or you could camp out at the Minnesota Senate Seat page of www.mncourts.gov. But you’ll have much more fun here.

I check the Silo all the time, waiting, hoping for the Phoenix Woman’s report. Let today be the day!
Fingers crossed for sure.
We need Franken in the Senate, and then I look forward to the Coleman/Bachmann primary fight for the gubernatorial GOP endorsement.
Nothing to see here folks, keep moving.
Apparently the Court didn’t send notice out to the parties that they would be ruling any time soon.
OMG, are you serious?
I’d pay to watch that campaign!
Sorry but this is BS. The supremes should have been familiar with the case prior to the June 1 oral arguments. We are now 2 1/2 weeks hence. The people of MN need to send their supremes enema sticks with gear shift knobs so that they can get their respective butts in gear.
Hey, we’re on the same page, Mike.
But if the spokescritter for the Court says, “We didn’t send anything out,” then I figure they didn’t send anything out. I could be wrong, but according to TPM the announcement was scheduled for 10 CDT, which has long-since passed.
Just wishful thinking on my part, but still a possibility. Neither Coleman nor Bachmann would rule out a run for governor at the recent GOP gathering where they chose their new state party chair.
kinda funny that box turtle cornyn thinks the repuglitarded party can make a comeback in 2010
the repuglitarded party hasn’t even finished getting their asses handed to them in 2008, and they think Americans have forgotten who drove the country into a ditch
keep bragging about killing “Obama-Care” you fucking idiots
this ain’t 1994
nobody trusts or believes lushbo limpball and newt the grinch
we’ve been laughing at the teabaggers and the idiot, and they think they are scoring points
I can’t wait for the repuglitarded hissy fit over the seating of SENATOR AL FRANKEN
wanna bet that box turtle cornyn thinks that having that hissy fit is a good idea ???
cue the popcorn machine

Please pardon me for a moment while I add that to my “Stuff I Stole Today” file…
At this rate, Franken will be lucky to make it into the Senate by the end of his term.
By that time, the popcorn is gonna be real stale.
I’ve been at Twitter. Most say no opinion. Then someone pops up with news that it is coming…..who knows?
Is today the day? Answer. Nope. Next time the person passing the rumour might just take a minute and do what foothillmike did. Call the subject and see if it is true. Nuff said.
allow me to muddy the waters further . . .
recall the Calif Supreme Court Prop Hate decision that was to be posted at 10 am local time – and some Calitics dfh found it online at 8 that morning – anything is possible
I haven’t seen any efforts by Norm Coleman to renew the lease on his old office space.
Sax to be you, Norm. Coleman’s Hawkin’ his furniture.
hey – left you a belated reply at bmaz’s hate crimes post.
sorry for the delay.
theater’s keep popcorn from the day before, the week before, the month and year before. They recycle it as many times as it is necessary to sell it and not pop anything new. A little heat, a little grease, and voila!
sounds like a type of subhuman we refer to as politicians?
keeewl. will check it out
Coleman just tweeted that he’s writing a letter from a Selma Alabama jail cell.

Jane is upstairs with a new post: “Why is Jim Himes Channeling Pete Peterson?”
Oh, if only!
Just in case this is the last time to donate A Dollar a Day to Make Norm Coleman Go Away:
https://services.myngp.com/NGPOnlineServices/contribution.aspx?X=Ded7FwPHDshrGtqFOE7vW9VcwgIMiaBGhXdSUiuRDlw%3d
Donations go to the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, which helps progressive candidates run effective campaigns and win.
Per a friend of mine with an ear to the ground: The justices won’t wait once this one’s done. They might decide to release tomorrow (Friday) afternoon, just to spare the staff from the barrage of phone calls. Consider that other rulings in this case have been released separate from the normal 10AM Thursday releases; the one where they denied the issuance of the certificate was on Friday, March 6.
It’s a shame it wasn’t released yesterday, the 100th anniversary of Elmer L. Andersen’s birthday.
I know it’s quite late here…but after checking some of the links with pics….I can truthfully say that the run-off has aged sir Colman, by, well, almost 20 years….Sorry, Norm.
This whole thing of months of appeals for Coleman is crazy. What is to now stop ALL losing candidates everywhere from doing the same thing and contesting every single Senate seat? This should have been settled a long time ago. Coleman should be ashamed.
