The only move I’m hearing about is Sam Farr, who told the SFGate last night that he was wobbly, so I put him into the "leaning no" group. He’s still moveable so please call his offices: DC 202-225-2861, Salinas 831-424-2229, Santa Cruz 831-429-1976.
I’ve heard that members are being told to vote "yes" because if they don’t, the Republicans will be able to negotiate what they want and the bill will get worse — maybe we’ll get the torture photos. Ooooh scary.
Back in the real world: the supplemental passed in its current form once in the House, it doesn’t need to change to make Republicans happy. It will have no trouble passing on its own, and progressive members won’t have to break their pledge to vote for no war funding that doesn’t include timelines for withdrawal.
Second: Obama has already said he’s going to do everything in his power to block the release of the torture photos.
Please, people. Try to understand: if you have to go back to your district and explain why broke the promises you’ve been making for close to a decade now about voting for war funding ("sorry — just kidding!) you better get something for it that you don’t already have.
Keep calling. These people are getting strong-armed heavily to abandon everything they profess to believe in and making all Democrats look like unprincipled, sanctimonious jackasses who stand for nothing.

just got off phone with Chaka Fattah’s office -
he is to vote Yes
yep, despite the inclusion of IMF bailout, he is to vote YES.
202.225.4001 – for any of the PA firedogs out there
Not from PA, but I called him anyway, now on to call Gwen Moore’s office again.
Kendrick Meek has been a real disappointment this year. Beginning with his telco loving bill – lowering of broadband standards before the stimulus bill (telco giveaway).
And I am very surprised to see Cohen and Shakowsky are still leaning.
I got some wishy-washy stuff from Kirkpatrick’s office today. They told me to check on the internet afterward to see how she was going to vote.
Meek is, unfortunately, the best the Dems can field to fill Martinez’s seat. Meek or Crist. Some choice.
Unsurprising. He campaigned for Lieberman.
just spoke with jerry nadler’s washington director, john doty, who told me that nadler is supporting it reluctantly. i followed up with a blast to pda members in cd 8 asking them to call and ask him to vote against it. maybe he is movable with pressure.
Markey, my useless doormat of a representative will be voting Yes. Once again, I am so proud…

Aren’t they? Reid says he can’t introduce legislation to repeal Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell because nobody will sign on as a sponsor.
Don’t get fooled again.
