The argument against the photos is not about our troops being at risk should a person of Muslim persuasion go off their nut should they see them, and they would of course. It’s about hiding from the “Christians” in this country what their tax dollar goes to pay for, even now. And then of course the big boys (Obama, Pinetta and the rest) would be really embarrassed. How do you run a war in Afghanistan and keep bases in Iraq without breaking some bodies and hiding the evidence? You can’t. Oh what a tangled web they weave when first they practice to decieve. And so goes Obama’s “great society” rhetoric - down the tube. The American public already feels it’s being lied to for political profit by his administration.

What is the sound of a politician not voting? Do they sit huddled in a corner crying because they know they’re in trouble?

Ya think they didn’t show courage to vote against the wishes of Jane? Heh. I have a feeling some of them will be hearing from her.

It’s entirely unfair to speak of a middle-aged governor being knocked on by a sitting U.S. senator of the Republican persuasion. /s

Reps that Broke Promises and Leanings from the tally on the “Whip Count Tool” on Final Vote:

Rep. Yvette Clarke
Rep. Steve Cohen
Rep. Jerry Costello
Rep. Peter DeFazio
Rep. Chaka Fattah
Rep. Luis Gutierrez
Rep. Jay Inslee
Rep. Steve Kagen
Rep. Ed Markey
Rep. Doris Matsui
Rep. James McDermott
Rep. Gwen Moore
Rep. Richard Neal
Rep. James Oberstar
Rep. Jan Schakowsky
Rep. Mike Thompson
Rep. Nydia Velazquez
Rep. Melvin Watt

If you’re representative is on that list, I hope you support whoever their primary challenger is, and if they don’t have one, I hope you’ll run against them yourself.

As an aside… Good ol’ DINO David Wu from Oregon’s 1st voted for this abortion too, but that good ol’ (D) next to his name on the ballot ensures his landslide victory in this district constantly.

How do you figure? The Dems will nominate Obama and the Repub won’t be a peace candidate. No one will have anywhere to go unless we think of a viable alternative.

Late to the party here, but Jane - you have achieved something phenomenal here even if not the full victory. I have monitored appropriations action for a long time. A week and a half ago I honestly thought the vote on the supp was pre-greased with just a pinch of pre-vote resistance kabuki on display for the minimum necessary catering to the grassroots. Your leadership showed how wrong I was, and gave the political establishment a giant headache that will have a long-lasting hangover.
