According to Paul Martin of Peace Action, Rep. Michael Capuano (D-MA) will vote "no" on the supplemental.
That brings the total to 33 Democrats who will vote against passage. We need 39.

Thanks Jane!
Jeez!
This is getting real!
Have you gotten in touch with Matsui yet?
via Turn Maine Blue (they’ve been great) Pingree is a NO, and a NO again.

33 down 6 to go until the naive fringe left hands the right a headline Democrats will pay for for a decade.
“DEMOCRATS VOTE NOT TO SUPPORT OUR TROOPS”.
Naive fools.
p.s. I know you said this earlier on some chart or other re: Pingree, but this seems to be independent confirmation from Mainers.
I just want to say Jane, how impportant and gratifying it is that you set up this format that allows the interaction and participation of people that either didn’t have a voice or saw the whole thing as insurmountable.
thank you
Seconded.
Great tools.
I just called Rick Larsen’s offices again. I played the reality card this time. We’re going through suicide watch as I write for a young Iraq vet, such an awesome young man. I told Larsen’s office that if he supports the troops as his website states then it would be a sin to vote yes for 100 billion to euro banks and 4 billion to cash for clunkers when there’s no one taking care of our soldiers and their families.
Vote no, separate the issues and make this bill about the TROOPS.
His staffer agreed. She said, ” We need to take care of our own.”.
Wish Larsen had her wisdom.
Thanks VG, it’s been a busy day but I will write it up.
Just got confirmation that we got Brad Sherman.
I have been reading your stuff, unable to form the words.

My letter to the SacBee:
H.R. 2346, the 2009 Supplemental Appropriations Act, which includes funding for the war in Afghanistan and the IMF should not be passed. We need money for California not foreign banks. What is more important? Money to save the state that is a driving force in the American economy or money to foreign banks who have screwed up and will dump the dollar sooner than later. The money to the European banks will not be transparent. We will never know where it has gone. Progressives and Conservatives both dislike this bailout.
We”re getting a wake-up call on PTSD. The light at the end of the tunnel could be PTSD barreling down the track.
The government couldn’t care less.” Let them die if they want to” seems to be the motto. Though the Army did forbid suicide among active soldiers, so that solves that.
Or…. perhaps the experiences of the past decade has educated the public and thoughtful Dems to the fact that the standard near-hysterical Rethug scare tactics don’t have to be allowed to work anymore…
You are choosing to castrate your President.
Er… no. Although Obama is a DLC-raised “centrist”… i.e. those Democrats who were pistol-whipped into behaving like Republicans against the best interests of their constituents and themselves… even so he’s still not quite a Rethug “THE LEADER” type. He’s not above criticism and correction.
And if Obama could be “castrated” by just being forced to keep his campaign promises then he chose the wrong career
…
“Don’t touch THE LEADER” Wow… the imperialist glow is overwhelming… ;)
