Hoyer Statement on the

2009 Supplemental Floor Schedule

WASHINGTON, DC – House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement today regarding the House of Representatives Floor schedule for the 2009 supplemental for Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and pandemic flu:

“Tomorrow morning, the House will appoint Members to the conference committee on the supplemental.  The House and Senate conferees are scheduled to meet at 3 p.m. tomorrow, and I expect to bring the supplemental conference report to the House Floor for a vote early next week.”

I don’t think they have the votes yet, looks like an attempt to staunch the bleeding.  I guess we’ll see.
