But the whole Court can over-rule StripSearch Sammy, can’t they?

I cannot imagine that Mr (in)Justice Roberts could want anything to do with this decision. He knows that SCOTUS lost enormous credibility in Bush v. Gore. Meddling in a close State election for partisan purposes could cause enormous backlash, maybe even amending Section 50 of the United States Code and adding four or so justices to the Court. I can’t imagine that Roberts would want to risk that.

A federal stay until cert is denied would certainly max out the stall.

(At that point Reid could actually do something right and seat Franken anyway after such an obviously partisan abortion of justice… so Reid will cave of course.)

So with Pawlenty given the cover of “They made me not sign!” (which won’t save him, I think) then how long could the fed supes stall on denying cert?

Strip-Search Sammy Alito is the SCOTUS justice assigned to Minnesota; he’ll want to make his bones with his Bush v Gore buddies. The moment the Minnesota Supremes rule, Norm’s lawyers will be in Sammy’s face for a stay to prevent Smiling Tim from signing the certification.

And Sammy will sign, to prove he’s One of Them.

Watch for it, it will happen.

AAR sacked her long ago. Then she got picked up by a variety of stations who weren’t doing the whole AAR lineup anyway—I don’t think anyone is any more. Hard to know what will become of her as what’s left of the leftie stations aren’t exactly tearing up the airwaves. Even I find it hard to listen to some of them.

Ah for the days of Morning Sedition and Unfiltered!

We’ll get to hear Franken again though in a very different venue and not on a daily schedule.

When Coleman has exhausted his state remedies, it will be truth or consequences time for Pawlenty — whether only one top level Minnesota republican politician will be destroyed by this fiasco or two.

The RNC’s money is on further delays to block Franken’s seating and therefore, two.
