The Election Contest Court, which had apparently allowed the non-stop shenanigans of Team Coleman to get on its last nerve yesterday afternoon, has decided after a period of reflection to issue a order that vacates their previous one striking Coleman witness Pamela Howell’s testimony. But this is not the apparent act of mercy for Team Coleman that it seems at first glance.
As TPM’s Eric Kleefeld states (and several legally-minded commenters, both at TPM and The UpTake’s live blog, concur), this is almost certainly being done to keep Coleman for having any hook on which to hang a successful appeal, and so what seems merciful really isn’t: "The side given the most rope at trial usually needs to be asking itself whether the court’s tying a noose onto the other end." Plus, it also means that David Lillehaug’s masterful dismantling of Howell is retained — and he very likely gets to have a few more shots at her. Pass the popcorn!

About FDL Action
this ain’t mercy for norm
mercy was the Court ignoring his attempts to circumvent the fairness of the election AND THE TRIAL
I thought norm had real lawyers
they never heard of DISCLOSURE ??? (see Tomei, Marrissa, ”It’s Called Disclosure, YA DICKHEAD)
so now, instead of ignoring the fact that norm coleman illegally colluded with a government official in an effort to obstruct justice, the Court is gonna recognize what normie was up to, and possibly and correctly, rule against normie in a manner befitting his offense
and then we fet to deal with a government official, who illegally colluded with a partisan interest in an election where the official was supposed to remain neutral
I’ve heard the official had 32 years of experience
ain’t gonna get that 33d year, pal
get the fuck on down the road
and in the next election cycle, those repuglitard complaints about voter fraud are gonna be a REAL HOWLER
