The President-Elect, explaining his decision to invite the bigoted anti-choice pro-assassination anti-lifesaving-medicine homophobe to bless his Inauguration:

"Let me start by talking about my own views.  It is no secret that I am a fierce advocate for equality for gay and lesbian Americans.  It is something that I have been consistent on and something that I intend to continue to be consistent on during my Presidency.  What I have also said is that it is important for Americans to come together even though we may disagree on certain social issues."

How can a "fierce advocate for equality" invite Pastor Rick™ — who compares my relationship to incest, pedophilia, and polygamy — to invoke America’s highest Holy Day, the Inauguration of our President?

How can a "fierce advocate for equality" invite Pastor Rick™ — who worked hard and exhorted his flock to vote to strip from me and my love our equal right to civil marriage — to speak on a stage alongside a true fierce advocate for equality, Pastor Joseph Lowery?

And, finally: how can a "fierce advocate for equality" support a separate but equal system for the state to recognize loving committed relationships? Isn’t that what a partial advocate for semi-equality would do? Isn’t that what a half-hearted advocate for inequality would do?

No, Barack Obama, you are not a "fierce advocate for equality." And by calling yourself one, you dishonor the memory, and the current hard work, of all who have been, and still are, fierce advocates for equality for gay and lesbian Americans.

Apparently, your fierce advocacy is a secret, Barack Obama — is it one you’d like to share with your fellow Americans?   Please give three examples, and show your work.
