Whoa–Today on The View in a conversation with Melissa Etheridge about Prop 8 and civil marriage rights, conservative pin up girl Elisabeth Hasselbeck almost admitted she supports civil marriage rights. Right after Melissa brings up Thomas Jefferson’s writings about how the rights of minorities should not be decided by the majority, and how her own family and kids and others were denied their rights, Elisabeth says:

It should be protected.

Melissa quickly asks:

So  you saying you’re for  for gay marriage, for same sex marriage?

at which point Elizabeth’s conservative femmebot programming snaps back into place and she utters the pointless phrase "activist judges" along with some other garbled thoughts. Then sadly Sherri interrupts and says it’s time for Melissa to sing a song…but expect Melissa back for more at later date. Plus she and Elizaneth agreed to meet for lunch and discuss the matter further.
