as the only democratic-leaning-politically-independent-mostly-liberal voter [well me an my wifey] .. in east tennessee..
i’d vote for tim.. simply because “he’s not a republican” me n’ the wife have felt like salmon swimmin’ upstream for the past ten years here..
TN one of those strange places where common-every-day-workin’ folk seem determined to vote against their own best economic interests for some unknown reason .. “republican stronghold” would be an understatement ..
last cycle ..i voted against the latest senatorial turd to come floating to the top ..corker [who demonstrated his bona-fides..and total ignorance well.in the senate.. just yesterday]..and against la-mah alex-andah [that old reagan re-tread and reprobate] as well .. might as well have used a piece of toilet paper flushed it for all the good it accomplished ..
oh well .. hope springs eternal .. eh ??

I think the late Tug didn’t cover himself in much glory in his treatment of Tim. I.E., he basically had nothing to do with him until Tim was an adult. So in practice, I’d say Tug was the bastid although legally that is Tim.
