This season the goal is to shop, buy, wrap–and stay within a budget. Two hundred and fifty bucks goes a long way for buying holiday gifts: You can install a low flow toilet or a linoleum floor in a 9th Ward house through Make It Right Foundation and let everyone on your list know how you spent your gifty budget. Taking Gwyneth Paltrow’s suggestion, you could get a little more personal and buy several pairs of Barney’s cashmere socks for your special friends. Or drop the whole wad to help Hillary Clinton pay off her campaign debt:

I’m sending my “holiday dollars” to Days End Farm Horse Rescue in Maryland, and various projects here in Hawaii listed on DonorsChoose.org. These are requests put up by teachers in public schools [and Hawaii’s public schools are right down there with Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana] for classroom fundamentals they can’t get through their school budget.
With all the millions she’s got, Hillary can pay her own damn debt.
