– Now they tell us: Former Ambassador to Georgia says Georgia is to blame for the Russian-Georgian-Ossetian war. (Of course they had to wait until the start of the Thanksgiving holiday to make sure everyone was distracted before announcing this.)

– Oh noes! Obama not following CelebCorps pecking order during press conferences. Watch for more negative twists to their stories about him.

– Take a gander at the AP’s current list of nominees for Obama cabinet positions, both potential and picked. Add Dick Gephardt to the list of those being considered for Labor Secretary, which already includes David Bonior and former AFL-CIO head Linda Chavez-Thompson. Meanwhile, nervous organic and locavore fans needn’t bother looking for names like Collin Peterson’s or Dennis Wolff’s or Tom Vilsack’s under the Agriculture Secretary heading. In fact, a contact of mine, Ollie Ox over at Bluestem Prairie, is active in the Minnesota Farmers Union and has been saying for days if not weeks to anyone who will listen that Peterson doesn’t want and has never wanted the job, and now Peterson himself has stepped forward to reiterate this. But of course, my contact isn’t an A-List blogger.

– If Hillary takes the SoS job, will she be saying goodbye to any future shots at the presidency? Signs point to yes.

Is Obama gearing up to ditch the Department of Union-Busting and Bush-Appointee Turkey-Farming — erm, I mean Homeland Security? His plan to take FEMA back out of DHS may well be the first step in doing so.
