Guitarist Slash and his wife Perla Ferrar send out this message in support of marriage rights, created by by the couple and Scout Productions. Says Perla:
I married my sweetheart. You should be able to marry yours, too. So say no to hate and yes to equal rights. Keep up the fight…Be loud, be proud and stand up for your rights.
Slash and Perla urge everyone to go to JointheImpact.com and find out where to protest in your city tomorrow in support of equal marriage rights for all.

Woo hoo!
Go Slash.
Yet another reason that I have a SERIOUS crush on Slash.
Gotta make the case.
This is a political issue.
The proponents of Prop 8 did a much better job, IMO, than the opponents.
California is pretty much an open marketplace of ideas.
In such a market, when ideas compete, the best idea wins.
too true. in this case there are constitutional questions. i know, that is a problem for some. might be illegal as well as just wrong. i’ll just go north to the el coyote on thurs.
Rock On!
they used the church’s infrastructure to impact the state constitution. Several lawsuits in court now will rectify that, if justice prevails. The Federal Constitution strictly forbids this (as well as church dogma, “judge not, lest ye yourself be judged”, among others)
If the best idea wins, I look forward to the Moonies, Catholic’s and Mormons being stripped of tax-exempt status.
BTW, Nice “Push-back from the Mormon Meme” you got there, ART. How much they paying you?
Digg!
Hey, jacqrat.
I express my own thoughts.
You don’t like ‘em, take ‘em on.
Here is an email from Courage here in California:
oh, heck, you are welcome to your opinion. i’ll not try to turn you.
just out of curiosity, whould you care to state your position?
[dugg]
Sure,
My vote would have been against Prop 8.
I would have joined marches.
Prop 8 is awful.
But Californians voted for it.
There is a disconnect in your statement. Competing and winning does not always equal “best idea wins”. It often times means that the most expensive or the biggest baddest mofo’s win. That seems quite clear to me and history spells that out in spades. How come you fail to understand that simple fact and concept?
Break lurk
We will be standing tall in Bend, Oregon

Methinks you don’t quite get the picture, you might want to read the constitution again again.
okay. so, for you that settles it. and why is that? is it your opinion that the majority rules? absolutely? just askin.
Okay Art, My bad apologies, I need to comment less
I’ll just throw this out:
It should never be easy to alter the state constitution. It is darn near impossible on the federal level and it should be as difficult on the state level. People have a way of chipping away at their freedom without being aware of it.
Just saying that it should take more than a majority vote to alter the rights of individuals (you know… not on a presidential election ballot rather it’s own special ballot)
Great message and loved hearing the guitar.
Sounds great, now when is Slash going to mend fences with Axl?
